My 50th High School Reunion:

Reasons Not to Attend

  1. I will not know anyone.
Response: There will be name tags that include your House (Azure, Green, Red, Yellow). You will probably remember more people than you think from a class of 1,200. We are in same boat – not knowing who will attend.

  2. I don’t look like I did in high school.
Response: Spoiler alert - no one does and no one cares.

  3. I just remember that everyone was in a clique, I wasn’t or didn’t like kids in cliques.
Response: That was 50 years ago. We were teenagers trying to figure things out. You probably have a lot more in common today than you think.

  4. I don’t want to share things about my life.
Response: Then don’t. We are getting together for a few hours to celebrate having gone to school together (many of us from elementary school to high school) and we are still here.
